Strategic Metrics, Inc. job opportunities

Strategic Metrics, Inc. (SMI) is a national full-service marketing and public opinion research firm. We conduct surveys for regional, national and international clients on topics such as consumer preference, purchasing behavior, and client satisfaction.

Strategic Metrics has IMMEDIATE openings in our Tuscaloosa office for Telephone Interviewers to conduct telephone surveys. There is no selling or telemarketing involved.

Responsibilities include:

  • conduct surveys with respondents;
  • read questionnaires (verbatim) to respondents, probe for clarification;
  • record respondents' answers directly into CATI system;
  • accurately record results of all interviewing attempts into CATI system.

Successful candidates:

  • MUST have good reading, speaking and spelling skills (courteous, persuasive & accommodating);
  • MUST speak clearly with good English syntax
  • must be able to follow instructions, read questions and record answers accurately;
  • should have an excellent telephone manner;
  • should possess some PC experience using a keyboard, mouse and web browser

These positions need to be filled IMMEDIATELY. Part time employment is available for 15-35 hours per week.:

  • English-speaking applicants.
  • Premium will be paid for bilingual-speaking (Spanish language).

Our Telephone Interviewers work in a casual office environment.


We offer flexible hours and work with all our interviewers to accommodate students' and seniors' schedules. There are several opportunities for immediate advancement . We are less than 5 minutes from UA campus.

We have a winner for the Christmas Song Contest! Wes Day's entry, A New Song for Christmas, is the winning song and is attached to this email. Congratulations Wes!
