DJ meeting tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

I apologize if you get this message twice. Just disregard one of them.

I hope you are making it through the severe weather safely! This is just a reminder that the first DJ meeting of the semester is tomorrow at noon at the station. The meeting will be your first opportunity to take the policy manual test as well.

If you cannot make the meeting, be in touch with me to schedule a time for you to take the policy manual test. (This is if you have not already talked to me!)

Let me know if there is anything I can do for you! See you soon!

Existing DJs- Get Your Shifts!!!

Welcome back everyone! Hope you all had a great break and are ready to get started for the semester!

It's time to sign up for your shifts, so check your schedules and pick times that will work for you.

We will have a DJ meeting this Friday at noon at the radio station. This is purely to get your slot on the grid. You will also have a chance to take the policy manual test at the meeting.

If you cannot make the meeting, please let me know asap. I can schedule your shift via phone or e-mail as well.

I'm looking forward to working with you this semester!

Internet Feed Warning

Dear On-Air Staff,

I was hoping this would have been already fixed by now. However it is not, so currently ANYTHING you say over the microphone ON-air AND OFF-air, the internet listener will HEAR.

Be mindful about your speech, portray yourself as you want to be perceived by your listening audience ON-Air as you do Off-Air. You will not get in trouble for cursing, but it will reflect on your character and that of the station.

This ought to be fixed when we get back next semester.

Have a great Holiday Season and thank you all for a good job this semester.

(Wo)Man Power!

DJs and staff,

We need some help this Thursday and Friday between 10am-5pm each day - this means the more volunteers, the better.

This is a remote-like event that will be on campus sponsored by the folks bringing you the new video game, "Rock Band."

If you help, you will get those nifty, valuable, tangible brownie points with the directors, as well as a few bits of free stuff.

If you are interested - and we hope you are - e-mail me directly and I'll fill you in on the details.

Thanks a lot!

DJ/Staff Holiday Party

90.7 DJs and Staff,

Do not forget about the station holiday party THIS THURSDAY at 8:15 at the Mellow Mushroom (mezzanine within the restaurant - if you can't find it, call one of us or ask the hostess).

We want to see all of you there as we kick back before exams and celebrate the end of a terrific year for our station.

There will be free beverages and perhaps a little food here and there.

For those who want to participate, we will have a Secret/Random Santa thing happening, too. If you wish to participate, bring a wrapped (minus your name) that costs between $5-$10. You can go uber-cheap if you like - it's all in good fun. Then we'll draw names and randomly select gifts. This will NOT be a Dirty Santa thing. So if you bring something, it should be something general that most anybody could use or even enjoy.

If you're feeling your Christmas-tackiest, sport a sweater or something.

ALSO - send me your DJ choice submissions! Tuesday is the deadline! We need more votes. This is a requirement!!!

Thank you - fo sho.

STAFF PARTY!!!

To EVERYONE that is involved with 90.7!! --

We are having a dead week/end of the year/holiday party at the Mellow Mushroom NEXT Tuesday - during Dead Week. The party will be in the mezzanine within the restaurant - this is NOT the upstairs bar where we've had our benefits.

There will be free beverages and perhaps a little food. We'll also be playing a little Secret Santa. If you wish to get a gift, you must BRING a gift. Make a fun little $5 present - don't be like Michael Scott and drop an iPod in there for the person you want to be best friends with. Just talk to them, and get to know them.

Also, we need for DJs (ONLY) to vote on the DJ Choice Award for best specialty show of the fall semester. I'll be sending a list of the shows later today, so keep an eye out.

Stand by for further announcements.

You - all of you - are superbadass (one word).
