WeTalkDuringMovies.com, a site where individuals can watch movies and chat with each other using text or voice, announces its recent launch.
Florence, AL (PRWEB) October 3, 2007 -- WeTalkDuringMovies.com (www.WeTalkDuringMovies.com), an online social media movie viewing site, announces its recent launch. The new site allows individuals to communicate with one another by voice or text chat while watching streaming video. Film buffs can now take part in a community where other viewers don’t mind commentary during the show.
“WeTalkDuringMovies.com is revolutionary because it allows individuals from across the country to get together in a fun and interesting way,” says John Brooks Pounders, 22, a student at the University of Alabama and founder of WeTalkDuringMovies.com. “I’ve always wanted to make a way for people to talk during movies. With the site, I hope to recreate the experience of having my best friends in the room drinking beer and riffing off each other about a movie.”

Once the movie starts, individuals can chat with another via a chat box at the top of the page. The chat box’s location allows site visitors to keep an eye on the movie and on commentary simultaneously. Individuals can also use telephone, Skype or free software provided by TalkShoe.com to join the conversation. All calls are routed through TalkShoe.com and broadcasted live.
''The format is going to be extremely experimental,'' Pounders says. “But that’s part of the site’s appeal – it offers something that no other Web site does.”
Viewings on WeTalkDuringMovies.com will take place on Sundays beginning at 3:30 p.m. CST. Those who miss the live weekly show will be able to listen and watch in podcast form. Each week users will be able to pick what movie they want to watch the next week.
