Mayer, a marketing professor with decades of service to the University and the community, died Friday, Feb. 15 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa after a lengthy battle with failing health and Parkinson's disease. He was 82. Mayer was professor emeritus of retail marketing and former head of the UA department of marketing. Full Story
