NEW from NO IDEA:
THE TIM VERSION "Decline of the Southern Gentleman" LP/CD ($7.00/$7.00) (No Idea #234)
The Tim Version is Gainesville punk (from Tampa), with better jobs and a better van.
Wrap 'em up in a tortilla with Grabass Charlestons, Radon, Leatherface, Hot Water Music, Billy Reese Peters, Motorhead, country legends of old, and a hefty dose of fast, bring-the-house-down punk rock, and you've got a mighty fine burrito! This here album is uptempo, adrenalin-charged and whiskey-soaked, but some of the finest moments are also found when they step back and let the songs breath and move.
I'd say they do what they do because they don't know any better, but the singer really IS a rocket scientist. The drummer plays traditional style (read: "holds sticks weird"), and is way better than he should be, the jerk! And between them, they have an encyclopedic knowledge of music, crossing all genres.
Note: The Tim Version also just released a CD collection of old songs from out of print records, comps, and splits on the ADD label. It's called "Still Have the Nerve to Call Ourselves a Band". Could cause confusion, but hey, life is confusing, right? Go with it, it all works out. And you get a whole lot of great songs along the way!
STREAM THE RECORD!! Because it is really, really good!

PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS "We Ride to Fight! The First Four Years" Gatefold Cover 2xLP/CD ($12.00/$7.00) (No Idea #226)
PMFS has pounded the road (and the road has pounded back) for a decade, never relenting, never giving up an inch taken. We find here: a rusty lockbox, full to bursting with incriminating details, blood and hair samples, and photographic evidence culled from their first four years as a band. Are they hoodlums? Are they mountain men? Do they have your back for life? Perhaps all of the above. PLANES lives in the seconds between a swing and a hit. Join them in the fight!
Contained within are 24 songs, including the entire “self titled” album, “Knife in the Marathon” album, “Spearheading the Sin Movement” EP, “Fucking Fight” EP, four Black Flag covers, plus assorted comp songs and extras.

HOT WATER MUSIC "Till the Wheels Fall Off" Gatefold Cover 2xLP/CD ($12.00/$7.00) (No Idea #237) (**2xLP is a PRE-ORDER! It will be out soon!)
Fourteen years on, Hot Water Music is back with a series of shows and a new collection album! Raging and screaming or rocking and singing, beards or no beards, the evolution of the band and their music is captured here in its full vibrance and force.
"Till the Wheels Fall Off" is a collection of rare songs, B-sides, comp tracks, outtakes, covers, and split releases. Included are songs from the out-of-print "Moonpies for Misfits" EP, their splits with ALKALINE TRIO and LEATHERFACE, and five songs recorded over the span of their three albums on Epitaph. The selection of bands they cover is pretty insane too: Springsteen, Leatherface, Alkaline Trio, Government Issue, Midnight Oil, Circle Jerks, The Clash, and Turbonegro.
Includes new art and photos, plus a few pieces from out of-print records. The cover art is once again rendered by Scott Sinclair, who painted their previous record covers.

NEW from PRANK RECORDS:
ACURSED "Tunneln I Ljusets Slut" LP/CD ($6.75 / $7.50) (Prank 088)
Brutal, devastating metallic hardcore from Sweden, over loaded with feedback as it blasts track after track of savagely shouted, throttling hardcore that slows only to deliver mid-tempo crushing blows. ACURSED, like many of the classic Swedish punk bands, are an enigma that surfaces haphazardly to unleash a new set of harsh tracks, previously with several records on Sweden's PUTRID FILTH CONSPIRACY label and the DISTORTION label. Akin to the HIS HERO IS GONE / TRAGEDY/ FROM ASHES RISE school of dark riffs and mood, and the classic original " Prank Sound", "TUNNELN I LJUSETS SLUT" is ACURSED's years-in-the-making Prank debut, and one of the most bleak releases on the label yet - with minimal artwork, the band chose to not even provide song titles in the packaging to keep from distracting from the music and mood. Members also play in VICTIMS (Havoc Records), SUNDAY MORNING EINSTEINS (Prank), and SAYYADINA (Sound Pollution).
