I. Neva Dinova announce release date for You May Already Be Dreaming.

Neva Dinova has completed their Saddle Creek debut, You May Already Be Dreaming CD/LP. The 12 song record is set for an April 8 release, with pre-orders beginning in the online store on February 26. Stay tuned for more info on the record and touring news!

Neva Dinova - You May Already Be Dreaming
It's beyond fitting that Neva Dinova has found a new home at Saddle Creek. You May Already Be Dreaming, the band's third full-length and first since 2005's The Hate Yourself Change (Crank/Sidecho) is a lush, largely electric affair rich with the rural textures that pepper releases from the band's Omaha contemporaries. Having been a staple in the scene since guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Jake Bellows and bassist Heath Koontz began collaborating in the early nineties, Neva Dinova (named after Bellows' grandmother) have continually evolved their melancholic sound, making masterful use of counterbalanced melodies and poetic lyricism. Bellows began composing songs for You May Already Be Dreaming two years ago, but he and the band--including The Good Life drummer Roger Lewis--were fated to overcome a number of obstacles (including a busted eardrum resulting from a barroom tussle and a practice space flood) before ! tracking the album at a friend's warehouse. From the spacious guitar washes of "A Man and His Dream" to the sweeping, dusty strength of "Clouds", this is the band's most fluid and realized effort to date.

II. Tokyo Police Club complete Elephant Shell CD/LP; on tour now!

Tokyo Police Club have wrapped up their debut CD/LP, Elephant Shell, set for release in late April. The band is currently on tour in Canada and will begin a full US tour in March. Dates announced thus far are below, with more to come very soon!

Tokyo Police Club - Elephant Shell CD/LP
Following on one of the most well received 16 minutes of music in recent history (2006's A Lesson In Crime EP), Ontario's favorite sons Tokyo Police Club will release their debut full-length in late April on Saddle Creek in North America and Memphis Industries in the UK.

Tokyo Police Club was formed in 2004 by David Monks (vocals, bass), Josh Hook (guitar), Graham Wright (keyboards) and Greg Alsop (drums) during their senior year in high school. Within two years they had released the aforementioned debut EP, immediately eliciting raves from Entertainment Weekly ("We can hardly wait for the full length" A-), Rolling Stone ("If only all young guitar bands were smart enough to rock out this fast"), Interview, Blender and Nylon among others. Since then, TPC has been touring virtually non-stop, pausing only to release last year's Smith EP and digital-only single "Your English Is Good" / "Swedes In Stockholm," and of course to record Elephant Shell.

Track listing for Elephant Shell CD/LP:
1. Centennial
2. In A Cave
3. Graves
4. Juno
5. Tessellate
6. Sixties Remake
7. The Harrowing Adventures Of...

IV. A look back at 2007 and ahead to 2008.

We wanted to start off 2008 with a quick reflection back on what 2007 had to offer. We've once again teamed up with our friends at Bittorrent.com to bring you a brand new MP3 sampler <http://www.bittorrent.com/users/saddlecreek/torrents/Saddle_Creek_Sampler_2007/fe6630a8-ba54-11dc-8734-00e081411f3f?csrc=dr_headline_ld> . As a New Year's gift we are making songs from each of our 2007 full-length releases available as part of a free sampler. Including songs from Maria Taylor, Bright Eyes, Two Gallants, Georgie James, The Good Life, and Art In Manila. This is the first time these songs have been available free of charge. Enjoy!

And looking ahead to 2008. In addition to the new records from Neva Dinova and Tokyo Police Club, both Beep Beep and Son, Ambulance are nearing completion of new full-lengths. We should have more information on these in the next newsletter.
